Top Gear Contracting…
Top Gear is committed to providing the highest level of security and satisfaction to our clients. We provide environmental and geotechnical drilling, light reclamation, back filling, fencing, dump truck, skid steer and light labor services. We operate across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. We are committed to providing honest billing at rates that offer true value to our clients. The safety of our employees and clients are always at the forefront of everything that we do. Top Gear operates with a SECOR certification from Energy Safety Canada and complies with all municipal and provincial guidelines and regulatory bodies. Environmental impacts from operations are reduced by implementing “green” policies where possible.

Spenser McGowan
Owner
Spenser works to provide Top Gear team members with a safe place to work. His constant goal is setting team members up for success while building a career in the environmental drilling industry.
Spenser began as an owner-operator in 2013, and has built Top Gear Contracting into what it is today.
Matthew Hamilton
Operations Manager
Matthew has over a decade of experience in the environmental drilling industry. Starting as a swamper, he worked his way up to driller and then joined Top Gear Contracting. His time at Top Gear has fostered his growth and advancement as a driller.
Today, Matthew prioritizes safety at Top Gear and ensures high levels of customer satisfaction from the office.
Jenna Oesch

Jenna, a team member since 2022, brought her safety and administrative experience to implement forms, spreadsheets, and processes that streamline operations. Her safety expertise has been invaluable to the entire team.

Shop Supervisor
Curtis has been with Top Gear since 2015. He consistently provides high-quality service and care to our equipment, ensuring it meets and exceeds safety requirements. For Curtis, Top Gear’s preventative maintenance program is a creed, reflecting our commitment to delivering quality equipment to each client
Jordon Weir
Sub-Contractor
Jordon has been with Top Gear Contracting for over five years, progressing from swamper to Lead Driller. As a subcontractor with his own AMS drill rig, he provides clients with top-tier equipment and service. Jordon is committed to the Top Gear safety program and consistently participates in its initiatives.
Keygan Failkowski
Senior Driller
Keygan has demonstrated exceptional potential since joining us in 2022. Despite having no prior drilling experience, he quickly mastered the necessary skills and techniques..
